On cold still midwinters night,
When the frost doth burn and bite,
Silently creeps in a wonderous sight,
As once more the snow takes flight!
Gently falling from laden cloud,
Blanketing all with chilly shroud,
No noise can now be heard aloud,
As Winter is once again unbowed!
Sunrise greets beauteous scene,
As light from fresh snow doth now gleam,
Everything looks so crisp and clean,
This land is now a Winter's dream!
